Carglass's new European distribution center in Genk is over 40,000 m². To illuminate this floor space, the artificial lighting is supplemented with the EcoNation LightCatcher technology. A total of 422 light domes are placed in this warehouse. The light domes ensure an optimal light distribution of daylight over the workplaces, without bright beams or shadow spots. A lighting control system will measure the daylight level. When sufficient natural daylight enters the warehouse, the artificial light is dimmed and even extinguished. With 422 LightCatchers in its 40,000 m² warehouse, approximately 175 MWh per year is expected to be saved annually.
