Built in Opglabbeek  Scania Parts Logistics a new hall of 37,000 m². A lot of effort was put into sustainability.
The walls were given an insulation layer of 10 cm, the roof of 15 cm. This produces an E-level of 18, comparable to passive houses. As a result, the entire building will be kept at the right temperature with only 12 heating appliances. The LightCatchers illuminate the aisles with a minimum of roof openings, so that the good insulation value is maintained. A total of 140 LightCatchers were provided, which is only 237 m² of roof opening. This is only 0.6% of the total roof area. Also, by using the free daylight, an enormous amount of electricity is saved.
